Tansy earned an A.A.S. in sales and merchandising from Weber State University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in literature: writing with a concentration in theatre from University of California, San Diego, and a master's degree in cross-cultural education from National University. She holds a single subject teaching credential in English.
Tansy has taught English for San Bernardino's Virtual Hi-Tech High for three years where she integrated technology and cross-curricular projects into her curriculum. She also served as the AVID coordinator at San Gorgonio High School.
Tansy has taught for NUVHS since the fall 2006 term.
