Finding the right college and locating reliable financial aid funding information can be daunting challenges to undertake alone. NUVHS has compiled a list of Internet resources to help you get started and stay on track.

College Entrance Exams

Financial Aid and Scholarships

• Save Me a Spot in College Scholarship Contest - this scholarship contest allows 6th-12th grade California students to submit scholarship entries in the areas of the written word, a poster or a radio/TV ad
• FAFSA - U.S. Department of Education Free Application for Federal Student Aid website
• Fastweb.com - site that boasts the most complete source of scholarships, national scholarships and college specific scholarships
• FinAid.org - comprehensive source of student financial aid information, advice and tools
• CollegeAnswer.com - college planning site, including applying for loans, hosted by Sallie Mae, an education funding provider
• Pay for School:  An Overview - information in financial aid and securing funding for college hosted by Petersons.com
• An Education in Scholarship Scams - article on how to watch out for scholarship scams

 NUVHS recommends that students talk to their high school counselors for guidance and support throughout their college search. 

Currently enrolled NUVHS students may call NUVHS to make an appointment to communicate with a school counselor either over the phone or via email.  To request an appointment, interested students should contact NUVHS at info@nuvhs.org or call (866) 366-8847.
