National University Virtual High School teachers not only have the education and expertise, they also have the heart and commitment to ensure student success. Teachers are readily available to help students whenever needed, so students master the course material, and gain the skills for college and beyond.
All teachers are credentialed in their subject areas, and many have received master’s degrees and additional teaching credentials. Our educators are up to speed on educational technology and online instruction, and regularly participate in professional development activities to stay current on educational trends and teaching techniques. All teachers are also considered NCLB (No Child Left Behind) “highly qualified” under federal legislation.
Although our courses are designed to give students a level of academic freedom, they are held to an incredibly high standard. Our courses are learner-centered and achievement-oriented.
