As an independent, nonprofit, online secondary school, National University Virtual High School (NUVHS) operates under the auspices of the Division of Pre-College Programs, an affiliate of the National University System (NUS), an alliance of educational institutions committed to meeting the emerging challenges and demands of education in the 21st century. Affiliates within NUS are aligned to connect a diverse population of students to a network of innovative educational programs.
As an affiliate of the National University System, NUVHS is focused on providing quality online courses to high school students in an interactive and rigorous online format. NUVHS is one of five secondary schools operating within the Division of Pre-College Programs, and is governed by the Board of Trustees of the National University System.
Nancy Rohland, President of Pre-College Programs, leads the administrative staff. Darren Smith serves as Vice President of the Division of Pre-College Programs and Director of NUVHS. Elysa Mena oversees the Student Services department as the Student Services Manager.
